About
Adam Lucas dropped out of Carolina Law School in the spring of 2001 with a big problem: he liked going to Carolina sporting events much more than he liked going to law school classes. That predicament prompted him to start Tar Heel Monthly in the summer of 2001, and he has been successfully avoiding torts class ever since.
Raised in a family of die-hard Tar Heels, he has spent his entire life following Carolina athletics and tries to bring that passion to his writing. He is a featured columnist on GoHeels.com, a regular contributor to Our State magazine, and appears on the Tar Heel Sports Network basketball broadcasts. He is also the author or co-author of seven books on Carolina basketball, including the program’s official chronicle of its first 100 years, A Century of Excellence.
Adam lives with his wife and four children in Cary.
